The first steps would be to purchase a one pound bag of pinto beans. Then sort through them for small rocks, girt or chip beans. Chip or a split beans are older beans and it takes longer for them to cook. Next we want to rinse them once and twice if needed, for the best results. Soaking: It is recommended to soak your beans over night. The longer you soak them the less gas they produce.(Estimate 6-8 hours).
In Pinto Beans Express, our next step would be to drain all the excessive water from allowing our pinto beans to soak over night. Each bean has grown in size. Each beans now have soak up it’s desire amount of water and is ready to add favor to the next process of cooking them beans.
Tip E* Turn Dried beans into moist beans, just add water.
Assuming that you have complete drain all the water off, it is time to remove all those beans to a large cooking pot. Notice: that one pound of pinto beans has multiple or increase in size to two pounds of beans. Two pounds of beans can feed a family of three or four adults easily.
Tip F* One pound of dried beans will feed a family of 3-4 adults.
Once the beans are in the larger pot, just add cold water again. Bring the water level about two inches above the beans line. Your could estimate one and one/half-quarts of water.
Turn the stove eye up higher at least the first 25-30 minutes. Then stir once or twice in that time frame. This will keep the beans from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
Tip G* The more water added to the beans the faster they will cook.
Tip H* To avoid burning beans of any kind, always stir the beans.
You may have notice that no salt, seasonings, garlic were added to the pinto beans cooking in the pot. The reason is that Pinto Beans Express does not need additional seasoning to make them stand out with favor. The favor arrives in the length of time you cook them.
Tip I* The longer you cook pinto beans the more favor is enhance.
Our first 30 minutes is up and we have stirred the beans from sticking to the bottom of the pot. Now let’s reduce the heat to low for the next two hours let the beans do it’s magic.
It is important to watch the water level, add a cup of water or two if needed. Stir them, and test one or two of the beans. Good cook's always sample his or her prepared food.
Tip J* Testing the beans in the pot use a big spoon, dip and let cool.
Once the beans have cool down, mash one between your fingers. If there is no hardness in the beans they are done.
Let them cool down for 10-15 minutes before serving them. If the remove beans is still hard in the middle allow more cooking time.
Tip K* Beans are done, when you can mash it between your fingers.
Tip J* If beans are still somewhat hard allow more cooking time.
